All of our rooms are designed with engagement in mind, including engaging outdoor play areas that spark curiosity and encourage exploration. Through play-based learning, guided by our passionate educators, we offer a unique childcare experience where your child will gain the key life skills, ready for their schooling years.

This historical building has been converted into a double storey service that provides children with a unique education experience, complemented with harbour views. The unique design of this refurbished building allows for not only an educational space to enhance the children’s learning, but also additional art studios that overlook Carrington’s main street, providing much inspiration for Go Kindy children.

Each room has been carefully created by passionate educators who are inspired to offer a unique and authentic experience for every child. This is achieved by providing a warm and homelike feel. Go Kindy Carrington continually strives to become a sustainable centre and encourages the children to nurture their environment.

Calm Hearts Mindfulness

Sustainability

Cooking

Cooking is a beneficial activity for children, allowing them to develop social and life skills as they work together to create. Our cooking classes aim to develop the following:

Language: Using communication skills to ask questions and read recipes.
Fine Motor: Cracking eggs and whisking batter.
Sensory: Developing taste, smells and touch.
Math: Using measurement, time and calculation to create a dish.
Focus: Concentrate on the recipe and instructions to ensure the dish is correct.
Science: Filling measuring cups and exploring how different foods react when mixed.

Dance

Children are given the opportunity to dance to age-appropriate music and learn songs and traditional orchestral scores. This promotes a strong sense of imagination while the children learn to work as a team, take turns, and follow directions. They use hand-held props and materials to help learn spatial awareness and increase gross motor skills. Connection with dance encourages your child to build confidence in expressing emotion in front of others through movement.

Go School Link

Go School Link is focused on the learning outcomes defined in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Our educators regularly communicate with families about each child’s progress and school readiness. They provide information and support to families to assist them in making an informed decision about their child’s school transition. Go Kindy works in partnership with families and local schools in our communities to ensure each child has the best possible start to their schooling journey.

Literacy

Go Literacy is a program designed to develop a strong foundation for literacy skills, teaching children about expression, vocabulary, sound, reading, writing and speaking. Research indicates that a child's language is highly influenced by the language they are exposed to. Go Literacy aims to immerse children in an environment full of books and academic opportunities to allow them to become successful learners, effective contributors and confident individuals.

IFA Sport

IFA Sports provides a fun-focused, school age-appropriate program where children enjoy learning specific ball skills, agility, and sports such as soccer, basketball, AFL, Touch Football, and Athletics. Go Kindy has an IFA coach who visits each week to deliver their program.

Calm Hearts Mindfulness

Calm Hearts Mindfulness partners with Go Kindy to deliver beautiful mindfulness-based programs. They are passionate about enhancing well-being, and we are committed to improving the mental health of our communities. They visit Go Kindy Services once per week each term, guiding children and teachers through mindfulness exercises. Their programs include Tricky Emotions, Resilient Minds, Friendships, and Positivity.
